Stovetop | Oven

  1. Prep: thirty minutes prior to cooking, remove your steaks from the refrigerator, dry with a newspaper towel. Allow steaks to come to room temperature before cooking.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Heat a bandage iron skillet over medium high heat until information technology is hot, but not smoking. (be sure to take your vent fan on as I ever manage to set off the smoke detector if I forget!)
  3. While the skillet is heating up, castor both sides of each steak with 1/2 tsp olive oil and season well with salt and pepper – actually rub information technology in.
  4. Identify steaks into the hot skillet and cook for 2-iii minutes, without turning to allow a nice sear. Turn the steaks with tongs and melt for another two-iii minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and immediately place in the preheated oven.  Roast in the oven for another four-7 minutes, or until the desired temperature is reached. (I do about 5 minutes for medium rare)
  6. **See notes below for more temperature info. Transfer the steaks to a plate and add 1/two tsp of butter to each steak.  Let steak residue for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve.

Air Fryer (Or Mealthy CrispLid | Ninja Foodi)

  1. Prep: thirty minutes prior to cooking, remove your steaks from the refrigerator, dry with a newspaper towel. Let steaks to come up to room temperature before air frying.
  2. Preheat Airfryer to 400 degrees. Castor both sides of each steak with 1/2 tsp olive oil and season well with salt and pepper – really rub it in.
  3. Identify in your Air Fryer for x minutes, flipping halfway (this is for medium rare). Increase or subtract cooking time as needed to attain ideal internal doneness.  **See notes below for more than temperature info.
  4. Transfer the steaks to a plate and add ane/2 tsp of butter to each steak.  Allow steak rest for v minutes earlier slicing. Serve.


Notes

**For a rare steak, melt to 125 degrees F, Medium Rare to 135 degrees F, Medium to 145 degrees F, Medium Well 155 degrees F, Well Done to 160 degrees F.
